How to Change a Door Lock?
Before moving into a new house, the first thing you should do is change the door locks for all exterior doors. With a little practice and experience you will be able to change locks quickly with little to no problems. Feel safe and secure in your new home knowing you hold the only keys to the doors
Installation instruction
-To fix the direction
-To change the direction of open the door (for the lock) according to the use of right and left opens the specific circumstance whether there is need to adjust the direction of latch bolt (the method to adjust the direction of latch bolt: invert the lock body, press the latch bolt into the hole and turn 108°,latch bolt can pop.
-Pre-drilled mounting holes determine the direction, cut the paper regulation and locate the position accordance to the instruction, Drilling hole according to the requirement of position and size on the paper regulations.
-Lock installation placed in the lock body prefabricated holes with wood screws solid locking body positioning.
-Screw out TWO M3 thread then install cylinder in the outdoor lock plate, pay attention to the direction drawing.
-Fasten the columnar screw to the plate and insert it into the pre-drill door, plug the square pin. Fixed the indoor plate and tighten it by M5 screw, then fasten the two sides of handle’s screw.
-Install the strike plate
According to corresponding position to tighten the plastic box and strike plate by wooden screw
-Debugging lock.
Tips & Warnings:
If the internal lock pieces are the same brand and size, you do not have to replace them
When replacing the entire lock, glue wooden golf tees into the screw holes on the edge of the door. Snap off the top of the tees and insert the new screws
